About DrivingData UK

Our Mission

DrivingData UK provides free, data-driven insights to help UK driving test candidates make informed decisions about where and when to take their test.

Data Sources

All pass rate data is sourced directly from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) via GOV.UK. The primary dataset is DRT122A: "Car driving test pass rates by gender, month and test centre."

This data is published quarterly under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and covers 18 years of historical data from 2007/08 onwards.

Methodology

Pass rates shown are calculated as the number of test passes divided by the number of tests conducted, expressed as a percentage. Annual figures represent the DVSA financial year (April to March).

Location data is derived from centre names and verified using postcodes.io, a free UK postcode lookup service. Area pages show all test centres within a 20-mile radius of each town.

Disclaimer

DrivingData UK is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the DVSA, the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), or any government department.

While we take every effort to ensure accuracy, the data on this site is provided for informational purposes only. Always check the latest information on GOV.UK before making decisions about your driving test.
